Message from Head of School & Head of Operations:
Dear TUSKERS's families,
We started this brilliant week with the community's enjoyment of embracing and enhancing our Thai culture through the Loy Krathong Festival. We honored our community including students, parents and school staff who fulfilled this festival with the greatest inspiration, essential care and community connectedness. These are exceptional pieces which make our Loy Krathong Festival massively successful and achieve our fullest school motto, "Locally rooted, globally connected". We are grateful for your involvement and support throughout this festival. Thank you.
The next highlight this week is that our Upper School and High School students have hugely succeeded in three awards from the 6th Valaya Alongkorn Music Competition 2023. These awards have obviously paid off their effort. We are very proud of them and wish to see their performance on various occasions throughout the year.
Besides, It's with sadness that we are writing to announce a resignation of our brilliant Math Subject Expert Teacher, Ms. Ashley Nowikoski with effective at end of semester 1. Ms. Ashley has been an integral part of BASIS Bangkok; we appreciate all the hard work and dedication that Ms. Ashley has done over the past 2.5 years with her teaching enthusiasm, educational passion, positive point of view and her actively cheerful personality will be deeply missed by students and all staff here. Ms. Ashley will return home to the United States, we wish Ms. Ashley all the best in finding good health and spirits to return home. Please find her letter enclosed and join us in sending Ms. Ashley best wishes for her future endeavors.
Lastly, we would like to announce that we are having a new hire come on board to expand and support our faculty team, Mr. Ervin Latincsics who will fill the position of Subject Expert Teacher for Ms. Ashley's replacement. Mr. Ervin is originally from the United States. He holds a certified teaching certificate along with his extensive experience in the education industry for more than 20 years with his expertise in Mathematics and Science subjects including proficiency in AP program. With his expertise and his true passion to support students in the classroom, we are sure that Mr. Ervin will be a well-suited at BASIS Bangkok.
