Congratulations to our U13 Boys & Girls Football Team

A HUGE congratulations to all footballers for their outstanding performance in the recent games!

Their hard work, dedication, and teamwork have paid off, and they did an amazing job representing our school as a host. As school ambassadors, they have shown exemplary sportsmanship and dedication to their craft. We have seen smiles on everyone’s face in our communities for such joyful moments, and they have indeed brought an immense sense of pride to the school.

Announcing BASIS Football Festival 2023 - Ma7 27, 2023

Dear Tuskers Families,

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting the annual BASIS Football Festival 2023. Our primary objective is to promote sportsmanship, teamwork and encourage children to embrace the essence of football.

We cordially invite your child who is in U11 team, both boys and girls, to participate in the practice sessions with our football academy. The tournament will take place on Saturday, May 27^th 2023, at BASIS International School Bangkok.

We are pleased to share the exciting news that seven international schools in Thailand, namely King’s College International School Bangkok, Harrow International School Bangkok, Wellington College International School Bangkok, St. Andrews International School Sathorn, Heathfield International School, Brighton College International School Bangkok and Australian International School Bangkok will be participating in this friendly tournament.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears - for Nursery and Pre-K

Once upon a time there was a little girl whose hair was so long and golden that everyone called her ‘Goldilocks’

Come travel with us into the forest to meet the Three Bears and see what Goldilocks gets up to as she knocks on their door.

With storytelling, song, instruments and acting, students will tell the tale of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

Parents, families and classes are welcome to attend.

Message from the Library

What a successful book week it was!

This week our students were able to learn new skills like Blackout Poetry and Saddle-stitch book binding, they won prizes during book trivia, laughed at Silly Storytime, and bought books from the bookfair with Kinokuniya Bookstore!

In addition, our Early Years and Grade 1 students were able to meet local author Nawal Kalra and participated in fun, hands on activities with her.

Thank you to all of the amazing students who took part in BISB Library’s Book Week events. Check out some of the photos from this week’s activities.

Also, be sure to check out the book-themed activity days coming up in May including Harry Potter Day, Peter Pan Day, and Sherlock Holmes Day!

We are excited to announce the upcoming Choir Festival featuring Grade 5, Grade 6, Grade 7, Grade 8 students and the ECA Youth choir with students from grades 1-4. The event will take place on Friday, May 12th, at 2 pm in the Black Box Theater.

The event promises to be a thrilling experience, showcasing our young singers' amazing talent and dedication. Students have been rehearsing for this show and they are excited to share their voices with you. They will deliver memorable performances featuring various songs in different styles that will surely captivate and delight you.

Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity to enjoy an afternoon of beautiful music and support our budding singers. We look forward to seeing you there!

Middle School "BASIS Got Talent" Auditions

Exciting news! Due to the success of our fantastic BASIS Got Talent Show for Primary students, we find it is important to open opportunity across schools. It’s time for Middle School!

There will be the Middle School BASIS Got Talent Show Audition on Tuesday 2^nd May, from 3:45-4:30 pm.

Competition Rules

Talents may include (but are not limited to) singing, dancing, instrumental music, skits, magic, comedy, martial arts, juggling, and no lip-synching.
Everyone must return a completed Talent Show participation form online.
Students who are part of a group act should submit their participation forms together.
The recommended length is 3 minutes; acts must be at most 5 minutes. Students may be asked to stop during the audition.
The maximum number of participants in an act is 8.
Student groups can be across grade levels, Grades 6-8
In all cases, the decisions of the judges are final and will not be open to discussion.
No profanity or insensitive subject matter will be permitted.
Costumes must be appropriate for all age groups. This is a school event.
Acts are responsible for their own props and costumes.
All performances will be screened for appropriateness by the Talent Show Committee.
Acts must provide the Talent Show Committee with the backing music, all their instruments and props for their act.
The children who have signed up by Friday 28^th April will participate in the audition on Tuesday, 2^nd May.
In the audition day, parents will be invited to attend in the Black Box Theatre to wait for your child.
The rehearsal day will be on Thursday 18^th May, and the BASIS Got Talent Show will be on Friday 19^th May 2023.
