Important Reminders

Dear Parent Association,

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the BISB Parent Association for taking the time to meet with our school management and Thai department. Your presence was greatly appreciated.

We would also like to request your kind support during the upcoming Songkran Festival on Friday, April 7th, 2023. We are inspired by the sincerity and devotion that you have shown in your craft, and we hope to see your continued support throughout the school year.

Academic Competition Updates

Dear BISB Families,

Thank you for your enthusiastic participation in our recent Kangaroo Math Competition. Your child's dedication and talent have truly made a difference and we could not be prouder.

As we eagerly await the results, I would like to inform you that they will be released on Thursday 4th May 2023. Rest assured that we will keep you updated as soon as they become available.

HIPPO International English Olympiad:

It is our pleasure to invite your child to participate in the upcoming HIPPO International English Olympiad Competition 2023, which will be held at our campus.

HIPPO English Olympiad is a globally recognized competition suitable for primary and secondary schools worldwide, and it attracts over 70,000 students annually.

The competition comprises 4 rounds: the Preliminary Round, Semi-Final Round, Qualifier Round, and World Final Round.

The Preliminary Round will take place at BASIS International School Bangkok on Sunday 23rd April 2023.

The Semi-Final Round will be held on Sunday 14th May 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand (venue to be confirmed).

The Qualifier Round will be conducted in Malaysia (venue to be confirmed), from Thursday 6th - Friday 7th July 2023.

Students who score high in the Semi-Final Round will automatically advance to the World Final Round, which will take place from Wednesday 27th – Saturday 30th September 2023 in Rome, Italy (venue to be confirmed).

As a participant, your child will receive a certificate of attendance in the Preliminary Round. Please note that there is a registration fee of THB 900 per participant, which is non-refundable.

Songkran Festival - Friday, April 7th, 2023

We are excited to announce that our school will be celebrating the Songkran Festival on Friday 7th April 2023 with an in-school event. We would like to take this opportunity to invite all parents to join us for TAK BAHT (Food Offering for Monks) at 08.00 – 08.45 am for Primary & Middle School and 08.45 to 09.30 am for Early Years. Parents are requested to prepare food/snack packets and there will be 9 monks for the blessing.

We encourage all of our students to embrace and celebrate the spirit of the festival by wearing Thai flowery costumes. To ensure a safe and enjoyable day for everyone, we kindly remind you to prepare the following items for your child:

· A swimsuit

· Sandals

· A towel

· Spare clothes

· A hat and sunscreen (if desired)

Please note that water guns or water buckets are NOT permitted. We kindly request your cooperation in adhering to this policy.

Updates on Upcoming Sport Events

Dear Tuskers Families,

As our school continues to grow, we are excited to offer more opportunities for our students to participate in friendly matches and fixtures. For this reason, we are proud to announce that we are now recruiting for three different teams within our school community.

We are also seeking boys and girls who were born in 2011-2012 (5-6th Graders) to join our U11 Football Team for an upcoming fixture on the BASIS Football Festival in May (date to be confirmed). It is important to note that we will be hosting a U13 Boys and Mixed Girls Friendly Match with SISB on Thursday 20th April 23, taking place at BASIS International School Bangkok from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
