Message from the Head of School
Loy Krathong Celebration
Thank you all for attending Loy Krathong with us on Tuesday! It was an amazing night for our community and everyone seemed to have fun - and we had more people in attendance than expected! We have received constructive feedback and rest assured that we are making a list to make it even better next year.
Upcoming Drama Performances
Thank you for parents who came to watch the drama productions this week with Ms. Lisenka – it was lovely to see you here and seeing the progress of our students in drama. There are few more productions next week, please see the details below:

Parent Survey for the BASIS Network
Dear Parents,
You are kindly requested to assist the BASIS network by completing the following (anonymous) survey. Thank you for your cooperation!
World Cup or Team Color Jersey Day
Wear Your World Cup Team's Jersey or Colours Jersey Day - Monday 21st November - Primary and Secondary
Sunday 20th marks the start of the 2022 FIFA Football World Cup (Come on USA 😉). To get in to the spirit, we are having a BISB "Wear Your World Cup Jersey/Colors Day". We would love to see as many colors around the school as we can and although Thailand is sadly not in this one, we all have a second team we secretly love or can find a team to follow for this year! Who will your team be?
Early Years Outdoor Library Project
Many early years students have been asking to bring books to the playground to read and we are listening to their request. We would like to fuel their love of reading and promote a rich literacy culture by providing an outdoor cozy reading corner with large selection of books students can enjoy. Do you have children's books at home your child has outgrown or has lost interest in?
Ms Janelle, heading this project, is accepting children's books in any language for our EY outdoor library. Please donate all books to your child's LET or lead teacher and they will give them to Ms. Janelle.
Middle School Newsletter
Save the date: January 13th Coffee Morning - Getting ready for Pre-Comps
Please note that in January, we will host a coffee morning session giving information and tips for parents in supporting your children with strategies to prepare, cope and succeed in the upcoming Pre-Comp and Comp examinations. Any suggestions from you guys – cheerfully accepted! There will be a platform to submit questions for us to run through prior to the event.
Homeroom attendance plea and reminder:
Homeroom in middle school is an important check-in on the wellbeing of our students and is a relaxed environment and opportunity for students to ask their homeroom teacher any questions about school and for the teacher to communicate information with students about the school day with messages being relayed to them from teachers across the school. I appreciate that there are issues that can prevent such an early start to the day but we would be extremely grateful if students attend their homeroom classes at 7:45am each day. Thank you for your support.
Poll Report Comment Parent Feedback Poll - Kindly complete it by Sunday 13th November at 6 pm.

November 16 - 18 APEC Summit Conference
Our school is currently planning to remain open during the impending APEC Economic Leaders’ Summit taking place from 16-18 November 2022.
In support of the government’s efforts to reduce traffic, we request our community do their best to cooperate with the government's wishes by carpooling, taking public transport, etc.
Whist it is very much our intention to open the school, do be aware that it is feasible the government may still intercede and insist on our closing. Should this be the case we will undertake online learning for the days in question.
Presently, the school will remain open during APEC Meeting on 16-18 November 2022
Reminder: The Communication Journal
Don't forget to check your child's CJ nightly for important communication from your teachers!
Trimester 1 Awards Ceremonies
Our Trimester 1 Awards ceremonies for the primary and middle school grades will take place the week of November 28 - December 2, 2022. More information will be released in next week's newsletter.
