Message from the Head of School

Dear All – a very happy Book Day – and trust you will have a weekend filled with reading!

Just a few points this week:

Many thanks for the kind thoughts of those parents who are organising gifts for teachers. This is an incredibly sweet concept. Please be aware that this is not organized by the school itself – so, if you have any questions about this initiative, please do refer to the parent group who are the organisers!

TINY TUSKERS – we are organizing a ‘mummy and me’ programme that will occur soon and run until the close of the academic year. As you will appreciate, it is aimed at parents of children younger than our existing cadre. If you or a friend are interested in joining this, please see the details in this newsletter – and be sure to register for the limited places as soon as possible!

WATER BOTTLES – apparently we have many abandoned water bottles. If you are conscious of your child losing a bottler – send them to reception to reclaim!

Grade 1 and above may be dropped off at school from 7:15 AM next week. We appreciate that some parents have found especial difficulty in dropping off and getting to work on time. Therefore, we have rearranged our drop off time accordingly!

Thank you all the moms and dads who came to our coffee morning on Thursday – it was a joy to see you!

World Book Day Celebration!

TINY TUSKERS Play Group

Dear Parents of Incoming PK1 students,

We are delighted to inform you about Tiny Tuskers, a weekly playgroup session opened for our enrolled PK1 2022-2023 students and our prospective families beginning on 23 May 2022.

The Tiny Tuskers Playgroup is meant to help facilitate the transition into Pre-K 1 by inspiring your child’s inner curiosity & creativity in a learning environment that feels comfortable and safe. Together you will engage in hands-on play that encourages children to imagine and inspires them to create and learn. Each lesson is centered on the idea that English immersion and structured group play help to prepare little ones for school as they become familiar with the facilities and build trusting relationships. This will help to alleviate separation anxiety as your child adapts to being around new faces.

While students play, they are also engaging in several activities designed to promote language learning, social and emotional development, and critical thinking. Each space in the classroom and lesson has been designed with a multi-sensory activity that will work on an essential part of their development.

Details regarding the Tiny Tuskers Play Group:

- Starting from Monday 23^rdMay to Monday 6^th June (Exclude Public Holiday on 3^rd June)

- On Monday – Friday 9.30-11.00 hrs OR 14.00-15.30 hrs (Morning or Afternoon Session)

- Age group: 1.5 – 3 years old

- The package fee for 10 sessions is 5,500 THB (550 Baht/session) in addition to a premium gift

- Seats are limited and first come, first served

- Maximum of 10 families per Group

- Snack for child is included.

Summer Camp Registration

Summer Camp is now available for registration.

BASIS International School Bangkok, together with ECA Solutions Asia & Robotixar, are inviting children age 3-12 to our Wonder Summer Camp 2022!

Join us for a fun variety sets of activities such as Tennis, Surfskate, Drones Mission and Metaverse Space at BASIS' state-of-the-art campus and make this summer one to remember for your child!

Open to both BASIS and non-BASIS students.

Important Note Regarding Student Pickup

Dear Parents and Guardians,

During student pickup, it is very important that cars remain in line while waiting to collect your child. Cars out of the line will be asked to park, as it is dangerous for children and staff to cross the pickup area while cars are attempting to drive past the line.
