B.O.S.S. camp schedule and Supplies pick up:

Dear parents,

We are pleased to announce your first opportunity to formally meet school leadership and say “Hello” to the teachers during the B.O.S.S. Camp soon.

PLEASE ensure to read the letter below and arrive with the required forms completed and ready to submit.

B.O.S.S. Camp Dates:

• On Friday, August 9, 2024: For NEW students (all grades) at 08:45 am - 11:30 am
• On Saturday, August 10, 2024: For CURRENT students

                      Grade 1 – 10: At 08:45 am to 12:00 pm

                      Early Years: At 09:00 am to 12:00 pm

Documents required:

This year, we do require you to update all necessary documents to ensure the information is mostly updated.  Please complete the forms in the attached file and kindly submit them at B.O.S.S. Camp.  The forms are also available at B.O.S.S. Camp in case you need them.

Mandarin Sign Up:

Dear parents,

The registration for Mandarin classes Academic Year 2024/2025 is now available.

If you would like your child to attend Chinese Language and Culture lessons, please complete the Optional Mandarin registration form (Click Here)  by Tuesday 13th August 2024 at 12:00 pm (noon)  

Kindly note that the registration cost for 1 year is 40,000 Baht. 

Please see information below regarding what classes we will be offering this year.

Mandarin Class Semesters 

• Semester 1:  Monday 19th August 2024 – Friday 20th December 2024
• Semester 2:  Monday 13th January 2025 – Friday 30th May 2025     

G1 Optional Mandarin Class (MNG1) 

• Prerequisites: None 
• EOT Exam: YCT 1 Language Proficiency Test (Optional) 
• Class Time:  30 mins daily class during the academic day and one after-school class on Mondays 4:00 - 5:00 pm

G2 Optional Mandarin Class (MNG2) 

• Prerequisites: MNG1 or placement test by the Mandarin department 
• EOT Exam: YCT1/YCT2 Language Proficiency Test (Optional)  
• Class Time:  30 mins daily class during the academic day and one after-school class on Mondays 4:00 - 5:00 pm

G3 Optional Mandarin Class(MNG3) 

• Prerequisites: MNG2 or placement test by the Mandarin department 
• EOT Exam: YCT2/YCT3 Language Proficiency Test (Mandatory) 
• Class Time: 30 mins daily class during the academic day and one after-school class on Mondays 4:00 - 5:00 pm

G4-5 Optional Mandarin Class (MNG4A) 

• Prerequisites: YCT1 or placement test by the Mandarin department 
• EOT Exam: YCT2/YCT3/HSK1 Language Proficiency Test (Optional) 
• Class Time: 30 mins class in normal schedule on Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays and one after-school class on Thursdays 4:00 - 5:00 pm 

G4-5 Optional Mandarin Class(MNG4B) 

• Prerequisites: YCT2/HSK1 or placement test by the Mandarin department 
• EOT Exam: HSK2-3 & Native Language Proficiency Test (Mandatory) 
• Class Time:  30 mins class in normal schedule on Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays and one after-school class on Thursdays 4:00 - 5:00 pm

Please note that the registration for Grade 6 – 10 Mandarin classes will occur during Elective classes for Middle School students – more information will be provided.

BASIS Experience 2024

Dear TUSKERS Parents,

This year, we had an enriching two weeks summer camp in Washington D.C. and New York City from June 29th – July 11th , 2024 packed with a diverse and exciting itinerary. Here are some of the highlights!

In Washington D.C., our TUSKERS had the unique privilege of visiting the White House and touring Georgetown University, one of the world's leading academic and research institutions. They enjoyed the Independence Day fireworks on July 4th and had a fun-filled day at Six Flags Great Adventure Amusement Park, spending quality time with their friends.

In New York City, our students visited New York University and explored the iconic Times Square, known for its vibrant vibes. They strolled through Central Park, America's most famous park, and toured Columbia University. An insightful visit to the United Nations allowed them to learn about its functions and global activities. They also participated in Broadway workshops and enjoyed watching a Broadway show, experiencing the magic of live theater. Additional highlights included visits to the Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, and the Empire State Building, offering a glimpse into the city's rich history and architecture.

Moreover, our students had the special opportunity to visit our sister school, BASIS Manhattan Upper School. They met the school faculty and toured the campus to experience firsthand the exceptional school community within our network.

The BASIS Experience 2024 was not just a trip, but an invaluable adventure. Visiting leading universities like Georgetown, NYU, and Columbia provided our students with inspiration and insights into higher education opportunities. Our TUSKERS immerse themselves in culture and art as they explore iconic landmarks and participating in educational activities. Engaging in new experiences and challenges encouraged students to step out of their comfort zones, fostering independence and confidence.

Our commitment to providing exceptional experiences continues, as we strive to inspire and nurture our students beyond the classroom. The BASIS Experience 2024 was truly a memorable journey, broadening the horizons of our students and leaving them with unforgettable memories! We are already looking forward to next year’s BASIS Experience trip! Stay tuned for more updates!
