Message from Head of School & Head of Operations:
Dear TUSKERS families,
The Upper School BASIS Got Talent last Friday was truly enjoyable! Each performance was captivating and we are immensely proud of our incredible TUSKERS for their dedication to pursuing their passions. We're eagerly anticipating the Primary's turn on Friday, April 26th!
To welcome the liveliest season of the year, we would like to invite all families to celebrate Songkran Festival with us on Friday, April 12th, 2024. Join us for a Merit Making Ceremony (Food Offering for Monks) from 08:00 to 08:45 A.M. for Primary & Middle School and from 09:00 to 10:00 A.M. for Early Years. Parents are kindly requested to prepare food or snack packets for nine monks in attendance to offer their blessings.
We encourage all our students to embrace the festive spirit by wearing Thai flowery costumes. To ensure a safe and enjoyable day for everyone, we kindly remind you to prepare the following items for your child: a swimsuit, sandals, a towel, spared clothes, a hat and sunscreen.
Please note that water guns and water buckets are NOT permitted. We kindly request your cooperation in adhering to this policy.
Lastly, kindly be reminded that there will be no ECA and Sports Academy trainings next week, from April 9th – 12th. Student Hours and Optional Mandarin remain as usual classes except on Friday, April 12th, there will be no Student Hours. Dismissal will be proceeded as usual time on the event day.
We look forward to celebrating Songkran Festival with everyone. Have a great long weekend and see you soon!
Best regards,
Dr. W and Ms. Kwan

Message from Director of Early Years:
Hello Early Years Families,
There is a lot of learning happening in Early Years! A large part of my job is being in classrooms and watching teachers work their magic and students learn, grow and show what they know. Our teachers here at BASIS truly are exceptional. They are always seeking how to become better and learning from each other, me and continuing education courses regarding best practices in teaching and learning. This has a direct effect on your children and the way they are experiencing their education. It is an inspirational community in which you have chosen to include your children.

Message from Dean of Primary School:
Dear parents,
Dress Code:
Please make sure children are following the school dress code policy. We have a lot of bare midriff crop tops and short shorts and skirts. This attire, although fun and trendy for the weekends, is not suitable for school day activities such as PE and recess play. Please ensure that students are properly dressed before the school day.
Snacks
We are still having an issue with students bringing their own snacks and beverages onto campus. Please ensure the safety of all students by refraining from students bringing food or drinks onto campus, an allergy-safe snack is provided to all students on campus. Any outside snacks and beverages will be confiscated if found on campus.
Thank you for keeping our campus a safe and respectful place by adhering to all the rules of the school, including snack and dress code protocol.
Much thanks,
Dean Selby
Dean of Primary
Message from Dean of Upper School:
NJHS Fundraising at the Songkran Festival
Dear parents,
During Songkran Day on Friday the 12 April, our National Junior Honors Society will be fundraising for the Good Shepard Sisters (link below). This Non-profit Organization, based in Din Deang district, has been providing vital education and care for asylum seekers and vulnerable women and children since 1965.
https://goodshepherdbangkok.com/
The charity has invited our NJHS members to visit their center in May to see first-hand where the donations are being put to beneficial use.
Please look out for NJHS members and the homemade cookies, plushies and other awesome activities they have arranged to raise money for this wonderful cause.
Many thanks for your support
Best wishes,
Dean Drew
